As I walked on the beach yesterday, chatting with God, I asked Him how often He came down to walk on Mission Beach (San Diego, CA). He said, "Whenever My kids invite Me." I said, "You knew I was gonna invite You ... 'cause I have to take You everywhere since I'm a single." He's preparing a travel companion for me, though, and we both know it, so He just smiled. If you ever see me out in public talking to myself, know that I'm not talking to myself. Most of the time. Sometimes, yes, but mostly to One of Them. 😊
And look at all those seashells on the beach. I picked up a bunch of 'em (nerd). They're commonplace, I suppose, to the people who live there, but they're so beautiful I felt like I was collecting treasure. The beach is a phenomenal place to find God. I suspect that's why people love it. They may not realize it, but their spirits are picking up on His frequency at the beach. Witness.
I also tried to pull some foolishness while in San Diego. God tested me, proved me and rewarded me last week so there was no good excuse for my behavior. But while I was in SD, I was smellin' myself, as my grandmother would say, and decided to text two old flames from there. I got who is thises. The Lord shut it down, quickly. I know it was The Lord because, although these were old flirts, we've been in contact earlier this year. Recently things have changed in my life, and so I was kinda testing The Lord back to see if He was doing what He promised. Thankfully I didn't get spanked ... just startled by the replies.
Why do I do these things? Huh? 'Cause even though I'm older, I'm just like any other kid ... testing boundaries. Not big boundaries really, but stuffs like this. I've been spanked too much to push the big boundaries right now. It's also because God won't let me be in control. I try and try to tell Him to do what I want when I want, but He won't go for that. He said ask and keep on asking so that's what I'm gonna do and just maybe, one day, He'll let me be the boss of something. Keep hope alive, right?
The people of San Diego are blessed to live there. God has made some fantastic places in this world, and the southern California coast qualifies. California has a lot of problems because the enemy made special effort to defile what God created as beautiful and meant to be holy. If you live in southern California, begin to ask God what You can do to align the land with His original design. Your life will begin to change dramatically, and you'll come into some amazing rewards for your service. Witness.
And you never know ... once you begin to bless the land where you live, God may prosper you like me and send you all over the country on 'vacations' to serve Him. My mentor has always said: "If you get involved with anything God loves, He'll get involved with what you love." I never liked traveling before 2017 and told God. But when I said yes to Him, He's made it enjoyable in more ways than I count. Doing His will, outside of my comfort zone, came first and the rewards for me followed. Let's pray:
Father, I thank You for the beauty of Your creation - those things I enjoy and those things I question Your reasoning behind. I pray that You receive my questions in wonder and not in judgment. I praise You for grace and mercy, which are available to me in abundance. You know how much I need both. I honor You for Your patience toward me and for teaching me patience the hard way, which is the best way. I bless You because You believe I'm worth the investment to create character in me that lasts into eternity. I'm humbled that You trust me and I trust You, too. Completely. And I thank You for the soft spot in Your heart, that's Zari shaped. I love being there. Amen.
I bless you in Jesus' Name and authority.
