25 November 2015 — I love to pray. And anyone who's effective in prayer does, too. Being effective means you get results and getting results will keep you in your prayer closet on the regular. I'm a witness. A friend and I began praying for our businesses, etc. a bit ago and we're seeing the manifestations of what we pray each week. We try not to miss prayer dates. Even though we have a standing appointment with each other and The Lord, we adjust our schedules so we don't have to miss a session. Consistency in prayer matters. Stamina, momentum, faith, and recognition in the spiritual realm must be built up. Also, the pray-ers have to get into one accord (Matthew 18:19, Acts 1:14). It's sad that so many churches don't teach effective prayer. I'm not sure why they don't ... except that they probably don't know how. As a teacher myself, I realize it's not easy to teach effective prayer. I didn't learn in a church. I learned from being desperate and having to dig in and experience breakthrough in prayer firsthand. I speak about effective prayer all the time, but it's only going to be theory until we're praying and agreeing about a real-life situation. That's one of the reasons I love praying through seasons with others. Each month I pray at least one person through some issue from crisis to deliverance. Sometimes it's multiple people. It's effective. Prayer gets things done. Today's prayer was so good. I had a vision of a door being opened and another of snow falling. I looked up snow in a dream dictionary and it listed: pure/white, Robe of Righteousness, glory, refreshing, God's Word. Immediately Isaiah 55:10-11 came to mind ... Just like snow and rain come from heaven to water the earth and don't return to where they came from, God's Word cannot return void. Yes and amen! I decreed agreement with that vision and the Ruach haKodesh spoke: "Your agreement with Me will take you over the highest heights." Then I saw a beautiful night sky similar in color to the pic above and two snow-capped mountains -- this reminds me of another snow-covered mountain dream I had before; I'll have to try and remember to share it here sometime. God has elevation, breakthrough and promotion in store for our lives and businesses. I'm excited and expectant. You need agreement with others in prayer -- if you're married or have children you should be powerful in prayer because you've got built-in agreement. And you need to agree with God. That's a basic, but a huge portion of The Body isn't in agreement with God's Word or will. You can look at lives in comparison to the promises in the Logos and determine if someone agrees with God ... or not. Copyright © 2015 Zari Banks, M.Ed |
