"He said the wealth of the wicked gets stored up for the righteous. Is that you? Are you righteous? Is God's way of doing and being right your heart's desire?"
LISTEN: Someone who's perishing - at least in some areas because they're works minded not faith minded - for lack of knowledge tried to tell me there's nothing I can do or have to do to receive from God because He loves me and that is not Biblical. All throughout the Bible God says, "Be like Me! Be like Me! Serve like Me! Honor Me! Trust Me! Love Me! Talk to Me! Ask Me!" Those are all verbs, verbos, action words. According to this logic, if I didn't have to do anything or there was nothing I could do my behavior wouldn't matter and nothing would be classified as sin. I wouldn't even have to believe in God and I could still live a life full of miracles, signs, wonders, healings and supernatural provisions simply because He loves me. Not to mention Yeshua wouldn't have had to die if being in relationship with God wasn't required for me to go to heaven. Matter of fact, satan wouldn't have even been cast out of heaven; he'd still be there because of God's love. Call me a liar if you want, but that hasn't been my experience. I've ALWAYS believed in God's love and yet I lived a mediocre existence for more than 30 years. I believe, and I could be wrong, what she meant was ... I don't know. I can't for the life of me figure out where in the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory she got that from. If you see or understand something in that bit of logic, please enlighten me in the comments below. But it sounds pretty foolish to me. In Revelation is for Elevation I challenge people who don't believe they have to participate to receive from God to not go to work for two weeks straight and instead sit on the couch watching tv (if you can afford to pay for it) with your feet up and then count all the money that falls into your lap from heaven while you're not producing. If God loves you and because of love there's nothing you could or have to do, it's not a risk to take me up on this challenge. We wouldn't even have to pray' y'all. And that's what I do. That's my life. What would I do with myself if I didn't pray? Half my day would be empty. This is the post that made 'em all preachy on me.
