Wonderful new week, dear ones! I hope you had a great Shabbat rest. I must admit that I'm a little tired even after resting. I facilitated several deliverance sessions last week and have a few more scheduled for this week. Now I know why I was being trained the way I was so I've stopped complaining. I told you before I didn't want to see other people's demons but ... the more you know. Today I want to share some things I've learned about deliverance. We all need it, but myths and foolishness have placed a stigma on the process so many believers just rule it out altogether and remain inhabited by demonic spirits. So, after saying that you can deduce I believe Mark 1 that tells us there was a man in the synagogue (Jewish church) who was demonized. Nothing has changed in the world to the point that evil spirits no longer exist. Therefore if Yeshua encountered demonized Jews in the meeting place in His day you'd better believe there are demonized folks sitting in your church every week. Know that possession and demonization are not the same thing. The Bible uses both terms - the former for pre-believers and the latter for those who've believed in Jesus. Proof that believers can be demonized can be witnessed in those with addictions to food, tv and sex/pornography, anger, laziness, deception regarding the truths of the Bible, angels, demons and much more. Yes, deception is one of the busiest demonic structures present in the believing community. There are folks who have confessed Jesus as Lord who don't believe Dad's promise of provision and so they finance everything (spirit of mammon). There are others who don't believe His promise of forgiveness so they open the door to the spirits of condemnation, guilt and shame. There are believers who refuse to live forgiveness and have opened their lives up to tormenting spirits (Matthew 18:34). Fear is huge in the Body. Believers are afraid and on anti-anxiety drugs or not sleeping just as much as the rest. I mentioned on FB last week that most deliverances don't end in cray cray manifestations. People testify about and try to record those instances because they get caught up in the spectacle. It's not scriptural to tell a demon to manifest and I actually do the opposite. I tell them do not manifest, just get out. I don't need the show, I need freedom. Yeshua never once told a demon to manifest so we shouldn't either; if you read the Word you'll see what He did was ask names sometimes. There are times that they do/will manifest but you have authority to command them to knock it off and get out. And you might not want to say "knock it off," because they may take you literally (they're under your authority if you have Jesus) and thrash the person on the way. If you recall from Mark 5:12 demons prefer to inhabit pigs (animals) than being without human bodies to harass. And Jesus told us in Luke 11:24 that evil spirits wander dry places looking for a home. Those who are homeless wait and watch for people to open doors and legally give them permission to move in. Some of the things that protect us are the Blood, the Armor and praise. Remember that Yeshua gave us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19) and Mark 16:17 decrees the first sign that follows those who believe is they will expel demons in His name. The first sign isn't even love, it's setting people free - which in essence is love. Now, you can take yourself through many layers of deliverance. You don't have to have anyone other than the Godhead, but, of course, there are times when you need help. And there's help available. I'm constantly seeking deliverance so the last time I had a block, I confessed, repented and was restored. Then I confessed to Patti and those I teach because James 5:16 tells to confess so we can be healed physically, spiritually and mentally. And, that is what I'm going to discuss next week. I'm excited to be alive for such a time as this, though. How 'bout you? What's new with you? I'm going through a deeper level of deliverance and training right now and I'm curious who else is, too. Are you? What's Holy Spirit doing in you right now? Can you recognize His work? Have/are you submitted to it? I went into this season asking for three things and He took me in a whole different direction. Which isn't surprising or uncommon because in order to receive new things we have to become new wineskins to steward them properly. But, I have to be honest, I wasn't down with the direction He went initially, and I'll address that in sec. There's been a lot of warfare, but it's good. It just proves that as I'm being delivered the enemies who occupied territory in my life are upset about their uprooting. Too bad, sucka fish ... you gots ta go. Here's an example ... Friday I was laying down for a nap (you know I'm an excellent napper, right?) and as I closed my eyes I saw this horrible, foul, straight outta hell scene being planted in my thoughts to 1. corrupt my dreams as I slept and 2. bring me into demonic agreement. I'm participating in a deliverance conference this weekend so this attack is not out of the ordinary or unexpected. I spoke aloud my submission to God (see James), commanded the oppressor to flee and then I called in angelic hosts to set a watch as I slept (see Psalm 91). Immediately two warrior angels dressed in white and gold, swords at the ready, flew in - one on the each side of my bed facing in toward each other - then I fell right to sleep in peace. Jesus promised in Mark 4 that as soon as the Word gets sown (the seeds of breakthrough being planted me in this season) the enemy comes to test it and see if it's planted deep enough to produce a harvest. I talk about this in depth regarding financial and success breakthrough in my upcoming book Revelation is for Elevation. Well, I've learned how to protect the Words sown into my spirit and I can teach you to do the same. Now about not submitting to Holy Spirit's path - initially. In The Beginning video for this week on Genesis chapter 18 I shared this situation. Verse 16 reads: At that point, the three men set off on foot toward Sodom, and Abraham walked with them to start them on their way. I've been establishing my destiny in prayer and I know a lot of what Dad has for me to do. But Holy Spirit began showing me through dreams recently demonic spirits standing next to people I know in waking life as the cause behind their behaviors. I've already understood that soul wounds cause wrong behaviors (hurting people hurt people type stuff), but now He's showing me that it's more than just a wound it's demonic oppression. Well, I don't wanna see other people's demons. People don't wanna hear that. Nor do I necessarily want to be the one delivering the information of what's going on. So, I've kinda been laying low and keeping to myself so I don't see as much. However, God has set off in a new direction and I have to follow even though it's uncomfortable. Like Abraham I have walk with Him as He starts out on this journey because I need and want the fullness of revelation of what He's doing, but also because I'm the one who has been crying out in prayer asking for my destiny to opened up to me in full measure. He's simply answering my prayer. Anyhoo, that's what's going on with me. So ... I really wanna know ... what's new with you? Holy Spirit's doing something in you. What is it?
